James Lankford Statement From Recent HuckPAC Newsletter

James Lankford – Republican Congressional Candidate – Oklahoma 5th District, “I am a political rookie operating a Conservative grassroots campaign with with very little money and publicity. Early in the process Huck PAC volunteers put their full force behind my campaign, then Governor Huckabee and Huck PAC formally jumped in. The early support was truly a blessing. During my runoff, the Huck PAC phone banking system helped my volunteers dramatically increase their effectiveness to get out the vote. I am not a professional politician, but I have learned quickly that money, exposure and volunteers go a long way toward a successful campaign. I have Governor Huckabee and Huck PAC to thank for boosting each of those components in my race. There’s no doubt in my mind I won the primary and runoff in large part to the tremendous volunteer base and the support of Mike Huckabee – I am eternally grateful for his support.”

Governor Mike Huckabee Endorsement of James Lankford

James Lankford - Back to America

Another major voice joined the chorus today asking Oklahomans to send James Lankford to the US Congress. Lankford was endorsed by former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee and HuckPAC. It is the only federal race in Oklahoma this year in which Huckabee has issued an endorsement.

“Governor Huckabee and I care deeply about the future of this great nation and we share many of the same beliefs concerning the change in direction needed in Washington, D.C. I am honored to receive the governor’s endorsement along with the support of HuckPAC,” Lankford said.

OFFICIAL ENDORSEMENT STATEMENT FROM GOVERNOR MIKE HUCKABEE

James Lankford is exactly the kind of leader that is urgently needed in the United States Congress. In this race, James uniquely shares my sincere desire to see a conservative transformation in American politics. The much needed change in direction will happen only when we send people to Washington D.C. who live their Christian convictions and have effectively served people in the private sector, rather than working in politics for decades. I’m convinced that James has the leadership, integrity and tenacious work ethic to be a game-changer in Washington, D.C.

As the director for well over a decade of Falls Creek, the largest Christian camp in America, James knows how to lead people, manage a budget and administer a large organization. James Lankford is a gifted communicator who will go to Congress as a statesman, not a politician, to work for the right kind of change in our government.

James shares my commitment to common sense solutions that are needed for strong national defense, real border security, less government control, domestic energy solutions, lower tax rates, defending human life and more individual liberty.

I encourage Republicans in Oklahoma’s 5th District to vote for James Lankford in the July 27 primary. Congress will benefit from a strong dose of the solidly conservative Oklahoma spirit and deeply patriotic American passion that James brings to the political arena.

Final Note from James: VIDEO REPSONSE CLICK HERE

With nine weeks until the election, there is a great deal to be done. Would you please help me get out the message that there is a different kind of candidate running this year for US Congress? Now is a great time to sign up as a volunteer or to donate. Please sign up as a voter or volunteer at the top right of this page and help us pass the word to others. If you can donate any amount, it would make a huge difference as we prepare for the media phase of the campaign. You may also donate online by clicking on the “Donate” button at the top right of this page.

Thank you for all your support and your encouragement in this race, the calendar is racing toward July 27.

Huck PAC Endorses Scott Pruitt for Oklahoma Attorney General

Huck PAC - Blogs - Huck PAC Endorses Scott Pruitt for Oklahoma Attorney General

April 20, 2010 - 04:12 PM
Washington, DC continues to pass legislation that puts unfair demands on taxpayers, handcuffs state government and saddles generations with massive debt. Oklahoma needs an Attorney General who is willing to stand up and fight – and Scott Pruitt is that person.

Scott and I developed a close friendship during my Presidential Campaign. I know he is a man of integrity who will hold true to his values and convictions regardless of the opposition – even if that opposition comes out of Washington, DC. If elected Oklahoma's next Attorney General, Scott will initiate a constitutional legal challenge to the hugely unpopular Healthcare legislation, with a goal of rendering it null and void in the State of Oklahoma.

Scott has the legal background and experience needed to be an effective Attorney General. Whether it is issuing legal opinions on important state issues or taking on the federal government, the people of Oklahoma deserve strong leadership. That is why HuckPAC proudly endorses Scott Pruitt.”

About Gov. Mike Huckabee

Former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee is the host of the number one rated weekend hit “HUCKABEE” on the Fox News Channel, and is heard three times daily across the nation on the “Huckabee Report” on the ABC Radio Network, the fast growing new program on the ABC Radio Network in years.

He is the author of 6 books, the most recent being “Do the Right Thing,” which spent its first 7 weeks of release in the top ten of the New York Times Bestseller list.

After his quest for the Republican nomination for President in 2008, in which he finished second to John McCain, he formed HuckPac to assist Republicans running for office nationwide and has amassed a volunteer army of thousands of activists in all 50 states.

From 1996-2007, Huckabee served as the 44th Governor of Arkansas and was recognized as a national leader, having been honored by several renowned publications and organizations for his numerous accomplishments. Governing Magazine named him as one of its 'Public Officials of the Year' for 2005, Time Magazine honored him as one of the five best governors in America, and later in the same year, Huckabee received the American Association of Retired Person's Impact Award. In 2007, he was presented with the Music for Life award by the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) for his commitment to music education. He served as the Chairman of the prestigious National Governors Association as well as the Education Commission of the States and the Interstate Oil and Gas Commission.

Huckabee became governor in July 1996 when his predecessor resigned. He was one of the youngest governors in the country at the time. Huckabee was elected to a full four-year term as governor in 1998, attracting the largest percentage of the vote ever received by a Republican gubernatorial nominee in Arkansas, and was re-elected to another four-year term in November 2002.

Huckabee first was elected lieutenant governor in a 1993 special election and was elected to a full four-year term in 1994. He was only the fourth Republican to be elected to statewide office since Reconstruction.

A significant part of his early adult life was spent as a pastor and denominational leader. He became the youngest president ever of the Arkansas Baptist State Convention, the largest denomination in Arkansas. Huckabee led rapidly growing congregations in Pine Bluff and Texarkana. He said those experiences gave him a deep sense of the problems faced by individuals and families.

Huckabee's efforts to improve his own health have received national attention. Diagnosed with Type II diabetes in 2003, he lost 110 pounds. Barely two years later, he had completed four marathons: The 2005 and 2006 Little Rock Marathons, the Marine Corps Marathon and the ING New York City Marathon. As a result of his accomplishments, The Road Runners Club of America named him its 'Southern Region Runner of the Year' and USA Track & Field has named him their 'Athlete of the Week' for the country.

Continuing to call for a national emphasis on living a healthy lifestyle, Huckabee completed his fourth book, "Quit Digging Your Grave With A Knife and Fork." This 12-stop program is a no-nonsense approach to managing one's health through lifestyle change rather than a simple diet and exercise plan.

Huckabee, 53, is an avid musician and is bass player in his rock-n-roll band, Capitol Offense, which has opened for artists such as Willie Nelson and the Charlie Daniels Band, and has played the House of Blues in New Orleans, the Red Rocks Amphitheater in Denver, CO and for two presidential inauguration balls. He is featured each week in the musical segment of his Fox show with the Fox house band, "The Little Rockers.”

His hobbies include hunting, fishing, running, and music. He was named one of the 25 most influential people for conservation by Outdoor Life magazine, and has was named as Man of the Year by the American Sportfishing Association in 1997.

The former governor and his wife, Janet, live in North Little Rock. They have three grown children: John Mark, David and Sarah.

10 Reasons Why Republicans Will Win In 2010

Huck PAC Newsletter December 29, 2009

As Republicans campaign against Democrat incumbents nationwide, I hope they will add the following list of reasons to help them make their case to voters.

  1. TARP or as I like to call it the Congressional Relief Action Program - The money for TARP was so urgent that Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and company didn’t add any transparency to the process and now we don’t know where much of the money went.
  1. First Stimulus Bill - It stimulated spending in Democrat Congressional districts and created almost no new jobs.
  1. Auto Bailout - Another bailout and another expansion of government.
  1. ACORN – This corrupt organization was a favorite of House and Senate Democrats and well funded by their congressional patrons. Voters will remember.
  1. Obama Czars – Special advisors to the President, circumventing the traditional Congressional confirmation process. The Obama administration’s widespread and deliberate use of “Czars” is a misuse of power and needs to be reined in.
  1. CAP and TAX – Another massive tax increase on American families and small businesses.
  1. Ben Nelson’s Payoff – Ben Nelson sold his health care vote to Harry Reid for $300+ million in lower taxes for Nebraska.
  1. The $12 Trillion+ National Debt – Democrats in Congress spending money they don’t have. Mortgaging our children’s future.
  1. Nationwide Unemployment rate at 10% - The Democrats are spending money like it’s going out of style and yet they are ignoring policies that would create new jobs.
  1. The Government Takeover of Health Care - If the bill that comes out of Congress is signed into law, it will amount to a massive government expansion into our daily lives. It is the number one reason why Democrats should be defeated.

Huck PAC is determined to lead the charge next year to regain Republican Majorities in the House and Senate. We will only support conservatives. We have a December online fundraising goal that we are $9,119 away from reaching. Will you make a donation today to help us reach our goal? You may do so here.

Each dollar will be invested wisely in our campaign plan to elect conservatives nationwide. I hope you will be a part of our growing team and fund this worthwhile effort.

Sincerely,

Mike Huckabee
