The Democrat’s Shell Game. It's all about the "'illions".

The Democrat’s Shell Game.
It's all about the "'illions".

By: Patrick Haworth
Tulsa, OK

The vast majority of conservatives know that the leaders of the Democrat Party are usually willing and able to play dirty politics. We know that they love to play on good-hearted people's emotions, in order to get them side-tracked. They know that the major media outlets will go along with their publicity stunts and they understand that the logic behind why the media will do so is that most media members started off as well-meaning, good-intentioned, journalism students who chose their major, because they had a niche for creative writing and wanted to use that talent in a way that would change the world for the good. But, embarrassment is one of the most powerfully motivating emotions that there is. No one wants to admit that they were wrong for so long in such a magnanimous manner, because to do so would be admit that we were able to be fooled, which is an unacceptable thought - especially, when your true intentions are to help others in the world who, apparently, aren't as intelligent as we.

Why do these liberals do it? What could possibly motivate someone to act so deceptively? Simple answer: money, power, and because they can get away with it. They're corrupt. Fooling enough of the people all of the time is the name of their game.

Very often, it is done with a shell game. The shells are the headlines and the pea is whatever the main concerns of the American people should actually be. It's difficult to keep up with where the main concern truly should be. Often, the pea is completely taken off of the table so that one never finds it in any of the headlines. But, this happens so subtly, that it is very difficult to notice, even to the sharp and well-trained eye.

The latest liberal, Democrat Party leadership shell game is all about the "'illions". It's actually a trick that they've used multiple times in the past and many of us recognize it easily, but for those who are not familiar with it, here's how it works: The ultra-liberal Democrat Party leadership knows that most of their voting base does not understand large numbers with any serious kind of reality. As soon as they throw a red meat "'illion" number out into the liberal media-sharks, the feeding frenzy begins and the headlines take up space. When sharp conservative voters read these stories closely, they can usually figure out where the pea went. When easily manipulated voters-for-liberals read these stories, their eyes just seem to glaze over, as though they are hypnotized by the "'illions", so that they are unable to differentiate and recognize the significance of the difference between millions, billions, and trillions.

In this most recent example, the liberal Democrat Party leadership should all get Oscars for their feigning abilities as they pretend to be outraged over "millions" of dollars in bonuses that have been paid out to AIG Executives. They know that if they act outrageous enough, the voting faithful will continue their blind form of faith and believe them without investigating to find out that the same liberals required these bonuses. These mesmerized voters will not notice that these bonuses are less than 1/10th of 1% of the bailout money. These mesmerized voters will also fail to realize that they should be more concerned about Congressional members openly discussing (Barney Frank) the fact that since the government bailed out a private company, that the government now owns and can manage a private company. They'll never have one bit of concern about the fact that it was completely unconstitutional to do so. And they will never consider the fact that the bailout was not just "millions" of dollars, but rather 170 "billion" dollars. After all, there's only one letter that's different there! The same people who claim that we spent too much on Operation Iraqi Freedom will not notice that subsequent to that bailout, in yet another bailout, our government turned over more than $700 "billion" in one felled swoop, which was more money than we'd spent in over 5 years of war in Iraq. Again, the federal government turning over the treasure of the people to private banks is not a role that is constitutional.

It's easy for the Democrat Party leadership to get their minions to have knee-jerk reactions, because they're so easily manipulated by simply yelling and screaming dramatically, as long as you're accusing conservative Republicans or at least SOMEbody other than yourself; and remember, there is that embarrassment factor and the pride that gets in the way of admitting that one has allowed them self to be pulled around by the nose, by corrupt jerks, for years. And so, the pattern continues, as they certainly will not notice the vast difference between "billions" of dollars and the "trillions" of dollars in deficit spending that we have just rung up in the last 60 days. Because they're being fooled, we will all pay a price that we cannot afford. Worse than that, our children and grandchildren will, too.

Some say that a Cloward-Piven Strategy of Organized Crisis is in motion here and it's hard to argue with that take.

If only the South Carolina Republican Party did not allow non-party members to select their own Republican party's nominee, Gov. Huckabee would have been declared the winner over McCain there, according to entrance and exit poll results which showed that Huckabee won votes of more actual Republicans there, than did McCain; or if only Fraud Thompson wasn't camping out in South Carolina, lying about Gov. Huckabee, while all other candidates were in Iowa, New Hampshire, and Michigan - We could have had a great debater, who is a truly authentic conservative, unlike Fraud Thompson, taking on Barack Obama. What? "Mitt Romney" did you say? Oh, you mean the guy that was for the aforementioned $700 billion bailout? Don't worry, I'm sure he will change his position on that, soon. What? He already did? Can't say that I'm surprised at all. Thompson called Huckabee, "...a pro-life liberal!". Well, at least he got the pro-life part right, which is an issue that Thompson needs to be better informed about, as evidenced by his lack of support of a Human Life Amendment to the US Constitution. Obviously, like slavery before the 13th Amendment, preborn people need an amendment to the Constitution to protect their right to their life, so that it's not okay, just in the states that want to be able to, to disenfranchise them and their rights, by killing them. Mitt? He's the guy that brought Massachusetts $50.00 tax-payer subsidized abortions and that was after his so-called pro-life conversion. If he and his father weren't both Governors of different states, if he were not Mormon, and if he didn't have millions of personal dollars to spend on caucus states, he wouldn't have won any states at all. How in the world can Fred Thompson say with a straight face that a guy who had 96 tax cuts in his liberal Democrat dominated state, who took his state from having a $200 million deficit to having an $850 million surplus, who is for the Fair Tax, and who is as pro-gun as anyone on planet Earth, a liberal??? And, how could Mitt Romney spend so much money on attack ads claiming that Huckabee was, "soft on crime", when Huckabee oversaw the execution of 16 people, which Mitt has never done, and when Mitt wouldn't even allow for a pardon of a guy who had served honorably and with high decoration in Iraq, over a bb gun accident when he was 13 years old, in which, the skin of his friend wasn't even broken??? With conservative voters having difficulty making these kind of distinctions in the primaries, there is virtually no hope for the liberal-minded voters. And so, the shell game goes on. By the way, did you see the doctor's signature or the name of the hospital on Barack Obama's birth certificate? (Answer: No. None of us ever did. Probably no big deal though, right? All of that cover-up by Team Obama probably didn't mean anything at all. After all, setting a large percentage of the American people at ease about his eligibility to run for the office is not such an important thing to do, even if it is a very easy thing to do.)

Sorry for watering this down so much. Maybe next time I'll tell how I really feel about it.

No Bailout for Planned Parenthood
December 4, 2008 | Refer a Friend

Planned Parenthood of Indiana is offering a new gimmick to drive business. Purchased holiday gift certificates can now be redeemed for any service the organization offers -- health screenings, birth control and, yes, even abortions. Planned Parenthood (PP) is marketing the program as an aid to needy women requiring basic health care. However, there is ample evidence that the Indiana Planned Parenthood has violated the legal protections of the very youngest ones it claims to help, including charges of non-compliance with state statutory rape reporting laws. The organization also lobbies against ideas such as parental notification laws that would protect minors who are pregnant.

Planned Parenthood claims the gift certificates are about giving potentially life-saving health care to women. The reality is that Planned Parenthood is strongly associated with profiting from death. According to numbers from Planned Parenthood's own research arm 11,150 abortions were performed in Indiana last year, giving Indiana Planned Parenthood an estimated $6 million.

The ailing economy has forced families and governments to tighten their fiscal belts, and the current financial crisis should cause us to ask whether a controversial billion dollar corporation like Planned Parenthood should get state tax funds.

Thank you and God bless you this Christmas.

P.S. Please forward this e-mail alert to a friend. A Christmas "gift" of abortion is especially offensive in this season when we welcome the birth of our Savior. Let's act to keep Planned Parenthood away from the public treasury.

Urgent Message about Jim Inhofe, By: Mike Huckabee

As someone that has proudly endorsed Jim Inhofe for Senate, I wanted to reach out to you with only hours to go before his campaign's midnight fundraising report deadline.

Jim's running as a strong conservative and a man of action.

Just days ago he stood up to politics-as-usual crowd in Washington and voted against the bailout of Wall Street. That took courage and was the right vote at the right time.

Jim didn't put his finger to the wind before he cast his vote, he listened to his heart and knew it was against everything anti-spending, anti-tax Republicans like you and me stand for. It was the right vote at the right time and it took courage.

He's done it before on immigration and climate change and I know he'll do it again if we help re-elect him on Election Day.

Today, we can take a step to make sure that Jim wins. I urge you to make an immediate contribution of $10 or more directly to his campaign. And if you can afford to contribute $50 or even $100 please do so immediately (we only have hours to go!).

Senators with courage to fight for what is right and stand up against what is wrong are few and far between these days. Let's make certain to support the good ones, principled conservatives like Jim Inhofe.

I urge you to make an immediate contribution now of $10, $25, $50 or even $100 or more, before the midnight deadline.

We can't afford to lose Jim's conservative voice and vote in the Senate. So let's do everything we can to make certain we reach this goal. My political action committee has already given, I urge you to make the maximum contribution you can afford.

Proud to stand with Jim,
Mike Huckabee

Presidential Tax Plans
As the November elections near, there's lots of talk about change, but let's compare how much Obama or McCain's tax plans would really stack up against the FairTax, a real agent of change.

Mike Huckabee, Dennis Kucinich, Jim Inhofe, Andrew Rice, and a Couple of Oklahoma Liberal Bloggers AGREE: Oppose Bailout

http://www.okiefunk.com/node/448

This is an interesting post from an Oklahoma Liberal Blog, OkieFunk, (by: Dr. Kurt Hochenauer - Professor at University of Central Oklahoma) and shows that many liberal Democrats are in agreement with many conservative Republicans in opposing the bailout plan.

Democrats Should Oppose Bailout
Submitted by dochoc on Mon, 2008-09-29 18:01.

House Democrats should unite and defeat the massive $700 billion financial bailout of Wall Street.
Not only does it make sense to refocus the bailout on middle-class taxpayers it would also ensure sweeping Democratic wins in the November elections.
President George Bush and the members of his ruling junta, Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson and Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke, are proposing taxpayers put their money on the line for Wall Street investment firms and banks. This committed money will mean fewer programs for the middle-class in the future. It will almost certainly jeopardize the government programs Social Security and Medicare.
It will also affect state government budgets, as well, because the federal government will have to slash funding to state programs that help the vast majority of Americans.
Those who support the measure, and this includes many leading Democrats, say the measure has safeguards, that Americans are actually buying a stake of these financially insolvent companies. If the companies rebound, then taxpayers could benefit, they argue. Do you actually believe this?
But the bottom line is the people who were wrong about the subprime mortgage crisis and housing bubble are the ones now pushing this radical solution. Why do it so quickly? What are the political bigwigs and investment bankers trying to hide from the public? How will this bailout affect you in years to come? No one can answer that.
Here are some issues and questions raised by Ohio's U.S. Rep. Dennis Kucinich about the bailout:
The $700 billion bailout for Wall Street, is driven by fear not fact. This is too much money in too a short a time going to too few people while too many questions remain unanswered. Why aren't we having hearings on the plan we have just received? Why aren't we questioning the underlying premise of the need for a bailout with taxpayers' money? Why have we not considered any alternatives other than to give $700 billion to Wall Street? Why aren't we asking Wall Street to clean up its own mess? Why aren't we passing new laws to stop the speculation, which triggered this? Why aren't we putting up new regulatory structures to protect investors? How do we even value the $700 billion in toxic assets?
Why aren't we helping homeowners directly with their debt burden? Why aren't we helping American families faced with bankruptcy. Why aren't we reducing debt for Main Street instead of Wall Street? Isn't it time for fundamental change in our debt based monetary system, so we can free ourselves from the manipulation of the Federal Reserve and the banks? Is this the United States Congress or the board of directors of Goldman Sachs? Wall Street is a place of bears and bulls. It is not smart to force taxpayers to dance with bears or to follow closely behind the bulls.
In a press release today, state Sen. Andrew Rice, a Democrat running against U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe in Oklahoma this year, said, "This bill gives too much away to the people who created these problems without guaranteeing that it won't happen again. Any bill would need to require much tougher consequences for Wall Street in order to earn my support."
That is a good stance for Democrats, though I would go further and suggest party leaders completely shred the Bush plan and start over. First, we should implement a bailout for the middle class, then we can worry about Wall Street. We should work from the bottom up, not the top down.
The House is supposed to vote on the measure today. Watch as leading national Democrats capitulate one-by-one to Bush’s last bit of thievery and then actually try to take credit for it.
Public opinion is against the bailout. Democrats should seize the day and create a bailout plan that forces many Wall Street investment firms to face the consequences of their own reckless decisions and greed as it helps ordinary Americans keep their homes. Democrats are risking the viability of their party if they go along with the Bush plan.

Melanie Grayson of Muskogee, OK: McCain's Political Strategy, with Regard to the Financial Crisis. New ad for McCain...starring Bill Clinton

This info posted with much thanks to Mrs. Grayson for permitting us to take a peak at what she is up to. She and her husband, William, are grassroots supporters, who played many integral roles in helping Gov. Huckabee to win the 2nd Congressional District of Oklahoma.

I am not a professional campaign adviser, but things aren't looking so good for the McCain camp right now. I am fed up with John McCain allowing Obama to take a free ride on our current financial crisis.

It is not exploiting the situation to let people know the part the Democrats, and specifically Obama, have played in the financial mess we are in.

I think he needs to roll the dice and take a chance on being accused of exploitation. What does he have to lose at this point? He's already headed for losing the election if he doesn't grab the bull by the horns.

Below is the email I sent and the response I received from the McCain campaign this morning. If you think he should stop holding back, I urge you to contact the campaign and let them know.

I am impatiently waiting for John McCain to act on the financial crisis in his campaign. It has been politicized, it is political and and he needs to give it to Obama with both barrels. I watched in disgust on Sunday night as Nancy Pelosi raged against Bush Administration and all Republicans, including John McCain, while flanked by two people with a huge responsibility for this mess, Frank and Dodd. How could Dodd or Frank even have the audacity to speak, with the role they have played in this mess? McCain needs to be pointing out Dodd's role as chairman on the Senate Banking Committee and Franks's role as chairman of the House Financial Services Committee. What about the monies Dodd and Obama have received from Fannie and Freddie and Countrywide and probably many other corrupt lenders? Let's give some background on ACORN and their agenda and the Democrats relationship to that terrorist organization and the connection to what's going on now. Let's talk about how Obama trained ACORN activists in corrupt Chicago. This is no time for Mr Nice Guy; he's got to let them have it or he is going to LOSE, BIG TIME!

Respectfully,

Melanie Grayson

And, here is the latest from the McCain camp: Bill Clinton will be starring in the next McCain commercial...

Bill Clinton the star of new McCain ad
Posted: 01:40 PM ET

From CNN Ticker Producer Alexander Mooney
The McCain campaign is highlighting a recent Clinton interview in a new ad.
(CNN) — As he gears up to hit the campaign trail on behalf of Barack Obama later this week, former President Bill Clinton is the star of a new television ad — for John McCain.

Watch: New McCain ad features Bill Clinton

The Arizona senator's campaign is highlighting Clinton's remarks in an interview with ABC News last week during which he appeared to lay some of the blame of the current economic crisis on congressional Democrats.

"I think the responsibility that the Democrats have may rest more in resisting any efforts by Republicans in the Congress or by me when I was president to put some standards and tighten up a little on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac," Clinton said in the ABC News interview that is highlighted in the new McCain ad.

The announcer of the one-minute spot called "Rein" cites McCain's call for more regulation of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac two years ago and said "Democrats blocked the reforms."

"Loans soared. Then, the bubble burst. And, taxpayers are on the hook for billions. Bill Clinton knows who is responsible," the announcer also says.

But in the same interview with ABC, Clinton also said it is important not to assign blame at this time for the current state of the economy: "We are where we are. I think the most important thing is we got two candidates for president saying 'lets try to minimize the partisan differences,'" he said. "We will have plenty of time later to look at who caused this and what mistakes were made."

Those comments did not make it into the McCain ad.

The ad comes days after some Democrats grumbled the former president appeared to be overly praiseworthy of the Arizona senator as the final stretch of the heated presidential campaign gets under way. In the same interview with ABC News, Clinton defended McCain's call to possibly push back the first debate, saying it was a pledge made in "good faith." He also later said the Arizona senator had taken the lead in his party when it comes to climate change.

The commercial is called, "Rein":

Federal Bailout Deal Defeated - Huckabee, Pence, Hannity, and Colmes

"Who's to Blame" - Very good discussion on Hannity and Colmes with Gov. Mike Huckabee and Rep. Mike Pence (R-IN) about the Paulson bailout plan that failed to pass in the House today.

Huckabee and Pence mention better solutions than the Paulson (btw, be aware that Paulson IS a Democrat) "bailout" plan such as reducing or getting rid of capital gains taxes and perhaps creating insurance similar to the FDIC for these mega-corporations, which would be paid for by them.

Huckabee calls the harsh regulatory practice and predatory loan practice, under the Community Reinvestment Act, "... ridiculously stupid ...". Huckabee also mentions, "... market-to-market kind of accounting methods which created de-valuing of company's portfolios ... it caused a lot of company's values and assets to be lowered and that's part of what created the mess ..."

On Nancy Pelosi, Huckabee states, "...this is a lady that doesn't know the difference between the punch bowl and the toilet bowl...", due to her calling the Republicans, "unpatriotic".

This video is so good, you may want to watch it several times.

Bailing On Our Principles - Mike Huckabee Goes OFF! Rips Congress, Including Republicans, HARD! Gives Suggestions, Too.

September 23, 2008 - 08:01 PM

Bailing On Our Principles

Frankly, I’m disappointed and disgusted with my own Republican party as I watch them attempt to strong-arm a bailout of some of America’s biggest corporations by asking the taxpayers to suck up the staggering results of the hubris, greed, and arrogance of those who sought to make a quick buck by throwing the dice. They lost, but want the rest of us to cover their bets so they won’t be effected in their lavish lifestyles as they figure out how to spend their tens of millions and in some cases, hundreds of millions in bonuses and compensation which was their reward for not only sinking their companies, but basically doing the same to the entire American economy.

It’s especially disconcerting to see the very people who pilloried me during the Presidential campaign for being a “populist” and not “understanding Wall Street” to now line up like thirsty dogs at the Washington, D. C. water dish, otherwise known as Congress, and plead for help. I thought these guys were the smartest people in America! I thought that taxpayers like you and I were similar to the people at the U. N. who have no translator speaking into their headset - that we just needed to trust those that I called the power bunch in the “Wall Street to Washington axis of power.”

The idea of a government bailout in which we’d entrust $700 billion to one man without Congressional oversight or accountability is absurd. My party or not, that is insanity and I believe unconstitutional.

Will there be far-reaching consequences without some intervention? Probably, but we honestly don’t know since we’ve really never seen this level of greed and stupidity all rolled into one massive move. But may I suggest that letting “Uncle Sugar” step in and bail out the billionaires who made the mess will be far worse and will start a long line of companies and individuals who will demand the same of the government---which last time I checked means that they will be demanding it out of YOU and ME. This is not money that Congress is risking from THEIR pockets or future, but ours. Many if not most of us have already experienced lost value on our homes, retirement accounts, and pensions. Now they’d like for us to assume some further risks so they won’t have to.

What happened to the “free market” idea? Is that only our view when we WIN and when we LOSE, we ask the government to come in and take away the pain?

If you are a small business owner, is this the way it works at your place? When you have a bad month, a bad year, or face having to close, can you go up to Congress and get them to write YOU a fat check to take away your risk?

Some of what contributed to this disaster is too much government in the form of Sarbanes/Oxley. Some is due to the tax structure that created the hunger for companies to “game” the system. Some is the common sense that was ignored like loaning money to people who can’t pay it back.

Wall Street has become Las Vegas east, but at least in Vegas, people KNOW they are gambling and they don’t expect the government to cover their losses at the tables. In Wall Street, they do. And the American taxpayer burdens the responsibility.

If Congress wants to do something, here are some suggestions:

1. Eliminate ALL capital gains taxes and taxes on savings and dividends right now. Free up the capital and encourage investment. This is the kind of economic stimulus the Fair Tax would bring and if Congress is going to lose money, let them lose it with lower taxes, not with public dollar bailouts of private market mistakes.

  1. Repeal Sarbanes/Oxley. It has failed. It was supposed to prevent this. It didn’t. Kill it.

3. Demand that the executives who steered their ships into the ground be forced to pay back the losses of their companies. Of course, they can’t, so let them work and give back to the government and they can live like the people they put on the streets or kept there. It makes no sense to put them in jail—that’s just more they will cost you and me. I’d rather them go out and earn money—just not get to keep so much of it this time. I’m not talking about limiting CEO salaries---just those of the people who now are up in Washington begging for help because they ruined their companies.

Attempts by Democrats and Republicans to blame each other is nonsense. They are both guilty and ought to own up and admit it. They all lived off big campaign contributions and the swill of the lobbyists who strong armed them into permission to steal. Enough of blame. Fix it!

This would be a start. If we don’t hold these guys responsible, we are all finished.
